Every student should plan for the following:

1.               Warm coat and warm hat are absolutely required…gloves are encouraged.

2.      One suitcase per student

3.      Toothbrush and other toiletries

4.      Sufficient socks and underclothing for four days

5.      Sack Lunch for Tuesday noon

6.      Money for snacks and souvenirs (students must be responsible for care of own money).    $25.00 is usually sufficient.

7.      Comfortable shoes - would advise not to wear sandals. Everyone MUST wear WARM shoes the first day.

8.      School dress code applies

9.      Cameras and other personal valuables are taken at the risk of the individual.

10.     Student cell phones will be collected Tuesday morning.  They will be distributed each evening at the hotel, and then gathered at lights out, approximately 10:00 p.m.  This provides a window of opportunity for students to contact their parents each evening.   Please label your cell phone.

11.     Medications must be clearly labeled with Name and Dosage inside a zip-lock baggie.  All medications will be held and dispensed by a designated chaperone.

We request the following to be observed:

1.       I-pods, MP3 & CD players are okay in the hotel and on the bus only.

2.       No personal speaker systems for iPods or CD players.

3.       No watching of movies on iPods or other video players.

4.       No gum at any of the sites we visit.

5.       No Shaving Cream! 

6.       No Red Bull, Rock Star or other energy drinks.

7.       No tank tops or shirts with suggestive sayings.  Shorts will be allowed on certain days only.  No shorts are to be worn the day we visit the capitol.

8.       Dress up a notch the day we visit the capitol and cathedral. (Khakis, collared shirt,           skirt,           dress…etc.)  NO faded jeans, jeans with holes/frays, and No Shorts this day.

9.       Anyone caught participating in any kind of inappropriate game or activity (ie.           Truth or Dare, nervous…etc.) will be subject to disciplinary action and likely result           in immediate removal from the trip and picked-up by parents.

10.     Hotel issues (ie. Sneaking out of room after lock-in) will result in immediate removal           from the trip.  Parents will be contacted to pick-up their 8th grader.
