The Trustees of Whitefish School District No. 44 and High School met for a special meeting on May 22, 2007 in the Whitefish High School Library

 

Members Present:         Chairperson Dave Fern, Pat Jarvi, Shannon Hanson, Ruth Harrison, Mike Ferda, and Eric Hosek.

 

Members Absent:          Phil Mitchell.

 

Officials Present:           Superintendent Jerry House.

 

Call to Order

Chairperson Fern called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

 

Review and Revision of the Agenda

There were no changes.

 

Public Comment

There was none.

 

Board Member Resignation

Superintendent House presented Phil Mitchell’s letter of resignation from the board.  Pat Jarvi moved to accept Phil Mitchell’s resignation.  Eric Hosek seconded the motion and it carried unanimously.

 

Filling Board Vacancy

Superintendent House reviewed the procedure to fill the vacant seat for one year.   Pat Jarvi moved to appoint Amy Eddy to fill the vacant seat.  Ruth Harrison seconded the motion and it carried unanimously.

 

Approval of Leave of Absence

Superintendent House requested approval of a one-year leave of absence request from Muldown teacher Valerie Hegland.

 

Eric Hosek moved to approve the leave of absence.  Shannon Hanson seconded the motion and it carried unanimously.

 

Adjourn

Shannon Hanson moved to adjourned the meeting adjourned at 7:07 p.m.  Ruth Harrison seconded the motion and it carried unanimously.
