The
Trustees of Whitefish School District No. 44 and High School met for a work
session on June 26, 2007 in the Whitefish High School Library.
Members Present: Chairperson
Dave Fern, Amy Eddy, Ruth Harrison,
Mike Ferda, Shannon Hanson, Eric Hosek, and Pat Jarvi.
Members Absent: None.
Officials
Present: Superintendent Jerry
House and District Clerk Danelle Reisch.
Chairperson Fern called the meeting to order
at 7:00 p.m.
Review and Revision of the Agenda
There
were no changes.
Public Comment
There was none.
John Morris
Chairperson
Fern introduced former WHS Principal John Morris who requested a meeting with
the trustees regarding the high school curriculum. He provided his observations
and suggestions regarding curriculum and activities at Whitefish High School
and how the curriculum must drive the construction of a new building.
Foreign
Exchange Students
Superintendent House provided the
current Foreign Exchange policy for the board.
Discussion followed regarding the specific number of foreign exchange
students accepted into WHS each year.
AFS Coordinator Ray Boksich indicated a specific number is preferable to
him.
Preliminary General Fund Budget
District Clerk
Danelle Reisch reviewed preliminary General Fund budgets.
WMS Library
Report
Whitefish Middle
School Librarian Joyce Schar provided the Annual Report for the trustee’s
information.

Amy Eddy moved
to adjourn the meeting at 9:16 p.m. Mike
Ferda seconded the motion and it carried unanimously.
