The Trustees of Whitefish School District No. 44 and High School met for their monthly work session on January 27, 2004 in the Whitefish High School Library.

 

Members Present:         Chairperson Linda Maetzold, Dave Fern, Brian Lauterbach, Doug Rhodes, and David Kauffman.

 

Members Absent:          Phil Mitchell and Pat Jarvi.

 

Officials Present:           Superintendent Jerry House and District Clerk Danelle Reisch.

 

Call to Order

Chairperson Maetzold called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.

 

Review/Revision to Agenda

There were no changes.

There was none.

 

Initial Budget Discussions

Superintendent House led a discussion including

  • Budget Projections
  • Budget Goals
  • Proposed Resolution to Shortfall
  • Future Timeline including scheduling the February work session on Wednesday, February 18

 

Sale of Pop/Soda – WHS Contract

Superintendent House reviewed the current contract with Coke and provided information to the board regarding the items funded with the proceeds of the contract.  The board discussed the merits and concerns of a contract with a soda company.

 

Superintendent’s Evaluation

Superintendent House briefly reviewed the evaluation process.

 

Adjourn Work Session

Dave Fern moved to adjourn the meeting at 8:42 p.m. David Kauffman seconded the motion and it carried unanimously.
