The Trustees of Whitefish School District No. 44 and High School met for its monthly work session on February 22, 2005 in the Whitefish High School Library.

 

Members Present:         Chairperson Linda Maetzold, Dave Fern, Pat Jarvi, Doug Rhodes, Phil Mitchell, Brian Lauterbach, and Amy Eddy.

 

Members Absent:          None.

 

Officials Present:           Superintendent Jerry House, District Clerk Danelle Reisch.

 

Call to Order

Chairperson Maetzold called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

 

Review and Revision of the Agenda

There were no changes.

 

Public Comment

There was none.

 

Policy Development

Superintendent House presented the following policies relating to the library:

Policy 2309 – Library Materials

Policy 2310 – Selection of Library Materials

Policy 2310P – Selection of Library Materials

 

Budget Preparation

Superintendent House presented budget scenarios with current funding and SB 177 funding proposal for the board’s review.  He also reviewed the reduction in force guidelines if necessary to meet budget reductions.  The board discussed the levy election calendar and the budget process through setting the levies in March to finalizing the budget in August.

 

Superintendent’s Evaluation-Process

Chairperson Maetzold collected the Superintendent Evaluation information from the trustees.  She will compile the results in preparation for the evaluation at the March 8 business meeting

Pat Jarvi moved to adjourn the meeting at 8:05 p.m.  Dave Fern seconded the motion and it carried unanimously.
