The Trustees of Whitefish School District No. 44 and High School met for a special meeting on December 6, 2005 in the Whitefish High School Library.

Members Present: Chairperson Dave Fern, Pat Jarvi, Doug Rhodes, Amy Eddy, Eric Hosek, and Phil Mitchell.

Members Absent: Brian Lauterbach.

Officials Present: Superintendent Jerry House, District Clerk Danelle Reisch, administrators Jill Rocksund, Kim Anderson, Dave Means, Jeff Peck, Kerry Drown, Bobbie Barrett and Chris Deister.

Call to Order

Chairperson Fern called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.

Review and Revision of the Agenda

There were no changes.

Public Comment

There was none.

School Funding

Whitefish School District administrators and trustees introduced themselves to State Senator Dan Weinberg and State Representative Mike Jopek. The legislators joined the board and administrators in a discussion of school funding. Superintendent House reviewed Whitefish School District’s current budget situation. Concerns were expressed about the ability of attract and retain quality educators. They also discussed expectations of the upcoming special session, and the available funding proposals.

Adjourn

Phil Mitchell moved to adjourn the meeting at 8:45 p.m. Amy Eddy seconded the motion and it carried unanimously.
