Minutes of the Special Meeting of the Board of Trustees
of Whitefish School District No. 44 and High School
Held October 2, 2009
The Trustees of Whitefish School District No. 44 and High School met for a special meeting on October 2, 2009 in the District Board Meeting Room.
Members Present: Chairperson Pat Jarvi, Dave Fern, Ruth Harrison, Brian McDowell, Shannon Hanson and Eric Hosek.
Members Absent: Mike Ferda.
Officials Present: Superintendent Jerry House and District Clerk Danelle Reisch.
Call to Order
Chairperson Jarvi called the meeting to order at 7:30 a.m.
Public Comment
There was none.
Review/Revisions to Agenda
There were no changes.
Project Manager Recommendation
Superintendent House reviewed the process involved in the Whitefish High School project manager recommendation including:
Committee paper screening of 23 resumes, selecting five to interview
Committee interviews of four candidates (one of the five selected was not available)
Committee recommendation to proceed with contract negotiations with Steeplechase; Bayard Dominick and Chris Kelsey, with a contract recommendation at the October business meeting
Eric Hosek moved to accept the committee recommendation to begin contract negotiations with Steeplechase. Shannon seconded the motion and it carried unanimously.

Dave Fern moved to adjourn at 8:10 a.m. Shannon Hanson seconded the motion and it carried unanimously.
